Why Dark Tide

Why Dark Tide? ...arrr... well the Tide has a long history - harking back to the days of Diaspora. This in itself leads to a bit of a conundrum as the Tide of yesteryear were actually a crew of galactic adventurers whose vessels were capable of space travel. Thus we must conjure up a time warp to bring you forward to the past.

In fact these two types of vessel - Helios seekers and hunters - were the mainstay of our forces. While we could afford Helios class ships, we weren't rich enough to afford attackers or behemoths.

If you think you can bear it, you can also watch a horrid little Flash intro I had made for our guild. You'll notice that I was just learning Flash and borrowed the 'beat' track straight from the Flash tutorial on sound.

Above and beyond all else, the Tide enjoys good roleplaying. RP Nazi's however had best look elsewhere. There really should be no need to have a fit if people don't mark OOC(out of character) comments as OOC. If the comments are out of character, then they are out of character regardless of whether or not they have 3 little magical letters in front of them. Also I think it's perfectly normal to RP through thought bubbles - Puzzle Pirates is designed to accomodate this - and thus if you see: Cryptic thinks, 'I wonder if I remembered to sell the last cargo of plunder?'

...and are affronted. TOUGH LUCK!
